Who We Are
A Community of Support & Belonging
Neighborhood Youth Services is a nonprofit located in the Central Hillside area of Duluth. We serve youth ages 6-18yrs in a variety of fashions. From our drop-in center opened Monday-Fridays, 11-7pm, (8-4pm in the summer) to daily meals, mentorship programs, art, dance, large community event and more. NYS is dedicated to servicing families throughout all of Duluth.
We know that raising kids takes a village, and our doors are open to children and families looking for support, connection, and encouragement.

At Neighborhood Youth Services, our mission is to empower the youth and families of Duluth and create a robust support system that creates connection with the community, addresses the diverse needs of our families, and removes the various barriers that stand in their way.
Our Vision
We envision a Duluth where every child has the tools, opportunities, and support to succeed—no matter the challenges they face. By bringing people together, we aim to build stronger families and a stronger community.
What We Do
Through a variety of programs and events, NYS provides safe spaces for young people to:
- Explore their creativity through art, dance, and cooking
- Receive academic support with tutoring and mentoring
- Stay active with sports and recreational activities
- Connect with peers, mentors, and community members
